Agreeing to these terms

These terms cover your use of the Cornerstone Temecula Concrete Works website and any work you hire us to do. By using the site, asking for an estimate or booking a job with us, you agree to them, so please read them before you go ahead.

If you don't agree with any part of these terms, please don't use the site or book work with us. If something here is unclear, contact us and we'll explain it before you decide anything.

What we do

Cornerstone Temecula Concrete Works is a concrete contractor in Temecula, CA. We pour and repair driveways, patios, walkways, steps, garage floors, slabs, footings and other concrete work for homes and businesses in Temecula and the cities around it. You can read more about our crew on our About page, or start from the home page to see the services we offer.

The service descriptions, photos and examples on this site are general information. They aren't a promise that a given finish, color or result fits your property, because every job depends on the ground, the drainage and the site conditions we find when we come out.

Estimates and pricing

We give free quotes on site, with no obligation. The price for your job is the one in your written estimate or contract, not anything you see or hear in general terms on this site or over the phone.

An estimate is based on what we can see before work starts. If we find something we couldn't see, like soft or wet ground under the old slab, buried roots, pipes or debris, we'll stop, show you what we found and agree on any change in price with you before we do the extra work.

Unless your estimate says otherwise, it's good for the period written on it. After that, material and labor costs may have changed, so we may need to update it.

Scheduling, weather and cancellation

We'll give you a start date and an expected timeline when you book. Concrete depends on the weather and on the slab having time to cure, which is the wait before it's strong enough to walk or drive on, so rain, extreme heat or delays from suppliers or permit offices can move a pour date. When that happens, we'll tell you as early as we can and set a new date with you.

If you need to cancel or reschedule, please call us at (951) 466-2622 or use our contact page as soon as you know. Once materials are ordered or a pour is set, you may owe the costs we can't get back, and your written contract will say how that works for your job.

Payment

Payment amounts, any deposit and the due dates are set out in your written estimate or contract. You agree to pay the amounts in that agreement when they're due.

If a payment is late, we may pause work until the account is current. We'll talk with you first, because a paused job is no good for either of us.

Your part of the job

You agree to give our crew safe access to the work area, to tell us about anything you know is buried in it, like sprinkler lines, private utility lines or septic parts, and to keep people, pets and vehicles off fresh concrete for as long as we tell you. Most early damage to a new slab comes from being used before it has cured, so following that wait protects your concrete.

Unless your contract says we'll handle it, you're responsible for any HOA approvals your property needs.

Our guarantee and what concrete can't promise

We stand behind our work, and we're licensed and fully insured. If you aren't satisfied with something we did, call us and we'll come back and look at it with you. Any written warranty for your job is the one in your contract, and it covers only what it says.

Concrete can get small hairline cracks as it cures and as the ground moves with the seasons. We cut control joints, which are planned grooves that give the slab a place to crack in a straight line, to keep that cracking where it does the least harm, but no contractor can promise a slab will never crack.

Our guarantee doesn't cover damage from loads the slab wasn't built for, use before it has cured, de-icing or harsh chemicals, changes to drainage or grading made after we finish, tree roots, earth movement, flooding or other causes outside our control. Colors and textures on stamped and decorative concrete can vary a little from samples and photos, because they depend on the weather and the batch on pour day.

Apart from what your written contract says, the website and its content are provided as is, without any other warranty.

Limits on our liability

To the extent California law allows, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses tied to the site or our work, such as lost use of your property or lost income. Our total liability for any claim about a job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job.

Nothing in these terms limits any right you have that the law doesn't allow a business to take away.

Settling a disagreement

If something goes wrong, please call us first at (951) 466-2622 or reach us through our contact page. Most problems get sorted out when we come back out and look at the job with you, and we'll make a good-faith effort to fix it that way.

If we can't settle it between us, either side may take the dispute to a court with jurisdiction in Riverside County, California, unless your written contract sets out another way to resolve it.

Which law applies

These terms and any work we do for you are governed by the laws of the State of California.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time, and the version posted on this page is the one in effect. Changes don't affect a signed contract for work already agreed, because that contract stays as written.

If you have a question about these terms, contact us and we'll answer it.
