About our Temecula concrete contractor business

A wide, pale concrete driveway leads to a brown house with a two-car garage, bordered by flower beds and lawn.

Our story started with fixing other people's concrete

I didn't start out pouring concrete. My first working years were upkeep for a property management company, and most days that meant patching cracked walks, broken steps and sunken slabs that someone else had poured. I learned the trade from the crews we hired, then started pouring and finishing right beside them. In 2013 I opened this business here in Temecula.

Fixing failed work teaches you something fast. Most of it went wrong before the pour, in a base nobody packed or a slope nobody checked, and nobody had explained any of it to the owner. So I come out to look at every job myself and walk you through it, and our own crew does the forming, pouring and finishing. Homeowners call us most, along with property managers and small business owners who'd rather build it once. You can see the work we do on our home page, or contact us about yours.

How a concrete job with us runs for you

These are the things you'll notice from the first visit to the last pour, and each one comes from years of repairing driveways, patios and walks that failed early.

  • You'll understand the plan before we pour

I walk you through the job on site in plain words, from what the slab sits on to where the water will run when it rains. If something doesn't make sense, ask, because that's what the visit is for.

  • We put the effort where cracks start

Most failed slabs I repaired sat on dirt that was raked level instead of dug out and packed, so they settled and cracked. If the budget gets tight, I'd rather trim the finish than the subgrade, the packed ground under the slab, because nobody can fix the base once concrete covers it.

  • An estimate you can compare line by line

Your estimate is written out step by step, so you can see what's included and hold it up against another bid. The price mostly follows the size, how much digging and base work your ground needs and the finish you pick, while the schedule turns on prep, weather and curing, the wait while the new concrete gains strength before you use it.

  • You'll know your side of the job

Before we start, we tell you what to mark, who to check with and how to treat the new concrete. When a job needs a permit, we work out which city or county office it goes through, pull the permit and set up the inspections, and inside Temecula that office is the city's Building Department.

Licenses that apply to concrete work here

  • California contractor license

The California Contractors State License Board licenses anyone who builds or alters a structure in the state, and the license applies when a job needs a building permit, uses any extra workers or runs $1,000 or more in labor and materials. Our business is licensed and fully insured, so you're covered on that front from the first visit.

  • Temecula city business license

The City of Temecula requires a city business license for anyone doing business inside its city limits, and that includes contractors based outside the city. Every city business license runs out on January 31, so a current one is worth asking about before you hire anyone.
